Come journey through Advent with us.
This December, slow down with us and prepare room for Jesus. A four-week, video-driven Advent study on Tuesday evenings, come as you are, there's a place for you.
The Marvel and Miracle of Advent
Advent is the church's ancient, counter-cultural way of slowing down to remember what Christmas is really about: a coming. God, coming to us.
Together we'll walk through The Marvel and Miracle of Advent by Christine Caine and Lisa Harper, following the four great words of the season, hope, peace, joy, and love, and letting them do their slow work in us as we wait for the one who always comes.
An honest picture
No stage, no performance, no pressure to say a word. Just a warm room and good company as we open the season together.
Watch & talk it over
Each week we watch a short teaching video together, then talk it over, the video, the Scriptures, and whatever questions it stirs up. It's a conversation, not a lecture.
A free participant guide
We provide a participant guide as a gift, there's nothing to buy. It doubles as a devotional, with something short to work through on your own between gatherings if you'd like to go deeper. It's a gift, not homework.
Come as you are
No church background or Bible knowledge needed, and nothing to prepare, just bring yourself and your questions. Children are welcome, bring the whole family.
Four weeks, four candles
We light one candle each week and let it lead us toward Christmas.
Hope
The sure hope that arrived in a manger, and is coming again.
Peace
The peace of God that steadies us in a noisy, hurried season.
Joy
A deep gladness that doesn't depend on everything going right.
Love
The love that came down at Christmas, and never leaves.
