Totally optional - just helps us plan.
An invitation to prayerful discernment—no pressure or obligation.
We’re building a Spirit-filled, life-giving church where people can know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.

Arise Dothan is being planted for the unchurched, the dechurched, and the over-churched—for people who need a fresh start with God, a spiritual family, and a place to grow.
I didn’t grow up in church. I know what it feels like to be unsure, unchurched, and searching. Jesus used the quiet witness of an aunt and uncle—and the steady love of a youth pastor—to change my life.
I’ve also walked through real brokenness. After my divorce, over 25 years ago, I wondered if life and ministry were over. But Jesus never let go. He restored me, gave me a new start, a new, Godly marriage, and even blessed us with a daughter later in life.
Arise Dothan is being planted out of that story of grace. We believe Jesus is still calling people to arise—to move up in worship, move in to community, and move out on mission.
If you’ve ever felt like church wasn’t for you, or that God was done with you, Arise is a place where you can come as you are and discover that Jesus is still writing your story.
Vision
We see people in Dothan following Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing what He did.
Mission
We exist to help people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.
We center our lives and gatherings on Scripture, prayer, worship, and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit—seeking to know God personally, not just talk about Him.
We create welcoming spaces where people are seen, heard, and valued, meeting one another with patience, grace, and genuine care.
We serve our city quietly and faithfully, partnering with local organizations and showing up without agenda or expectation.
We practice generosity as a response to God’s goodness—giving freely of our time, resources, and presence as God leads.
We prepare thoughtfully and steward what we’ve been given with care, believing excellence honors God and serves people well.
We choose gratitude, hope, and joy in every season, trusting that God is at work and celebrating what He is forming among us.

We’re building simple, clear pathways so people don’t just attend church—they grow as disciples.
Step 1
Know God
Weekend worship services that are life-giving, Spirit-filled, and clear for both long-time believers and people brand-new to faith.
Step 2
Find Freedom
Small groups where you can be known, prayed for, and walk in freedom together rather than struggling alone.
Step 3
Discover Purpose
Growth Track classes that help you understand your design, discover your gifts, and find your place in the body of Christ.
Step 4
Make a Difference
Dream Teams and outreach opportunities inside and outside the church so you can impact Dothan and beyond.

We’re in the pre-launch season, gathering a launch team, praying, and laying foundations for a healthy, life-giving church.
Right now, we’re meeting for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study as we prepare for the public launch of Arise Dothan.
We gather informally on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in the upstairs gathering space of Mural City Coffee, where we share coffee, prayer, Scripture, and conversation as we grow together and discern what God is forming among us.
You’re welcome to come, listen, ask questions, and see if Arise feels like home.

Brian and Jaclyn Turner love Jesus, love the local church, and love the city of Dothan. They were both born and raised in the Wiregrass.
Brian and Jaclyn Turner are our pastors. Brian has a deep heart for forming disciples who follow Jesus deeply and live out their faith faithfully. He is expecting to complete his Master of Divinity in May 2026 at The King's University and is preparing for doctoral work.
Jaclyn has a deep heart for worship, women, families, and those walking through tough seasons. She has a Master of Christian Life Coaching and Counseling from Liberty University.
Together, they’re raising their daughter in the Lord and building Arise Dothan as a Spirit-filled, life-giving church that’s sane, sensitive, and deeply scriptural. Their desire is simple: to build a church where people are healed, discipled, and empowered to live on mission in everyday life.

An invitation to prayerful discernment—no pressure or obligation.
We’re asking God for a team of people who will pray, serve, give, and help us build something healthy and life-giving from day one.
You don’t have to have it all together. You don’t need a church background. You just need a willing heart and a desire to see people in Dothan encounter Jesus, and there's no pressure. Just walk with us and see where God leads.
Pray regularly for Arise Dothan and our city
Serve on teams as we prepare to launch
Give as God leads, to help fund the vision
Invite friends, family, and neighbors into the journey
If that sounds like you, we’d love to connect. No pressure. No obligation.
Planting a church is ultimately about people—and generosity is one of the ways some choose to participate in what God is forming. Financial partnership with Arise Dothan is always optional and is rooted in discipleship, joy, and prayerful discernment, not pressure or obligation.
For those who feel led, generosity helps provide the practical support needed to build a healthy foundation—allowing us to prepare well, serve the city humbly, and create welcoming spaces where people can encounter Jesus.
Creating space for belonging - Your generosity helps us create environments where people—especially those who feel far from God—can encounter grace, community, and hope.
Building a healthy foundation - Financial partnership supports the formation of a Spirit-formed launch team shaped by prayer, discipleship, and shared values.
Preparing life-giving environments - Giving helps provide the equipment, spaces, and resources needed to gather people well, with excellence and care from the beginning.
Serving the city with humility - Your partnership allows us to love and serve Dothan intentionally—meeting real needs and building trust before we ever open our doors.
Stay in the know for our next interest night, vision night, and serve day.
